Your purchase of this product will help support the charitable activities of the Working Boys Center located in Quito, Ecuador. This non-profit organization was founded by P. John Halligan, S. J., a member of the New York Society of Jesus Province, in 1964 to get some 200 shoeshine boys off city streets by educating them and teaching them a productive occupation. Today it has grown into a major charitable organization that trains whole families to become contributing members of society. Over 6,000 families of working children have been able to change the quality of their lives and leave behind forever poverty and its devastating consequences.
